Outside Mullingar by John Patrick Shanley

"...a valentine to the wonder and weirdness of love." - New York Daily News.  Step into the Reilly kitchen.  Anthony is making tea. Tony and Aoife are talking about which of them will die first.  Rosemary is outside in the rain, smoking and fuming over her apparently hopeless love for Anthony.  There will be laughter and tears, alternating in rapid succession in true Irish style.

Meet the cast

ANTHONY REILLY: Michael Peng has deep roots here: he grew up in Kitchener, was a longtime member of Theatre & Company, the region’s first professional theatre company, and co-founded Lost & Found Theatre in 2004. For 25 years, Michael has been actively involved in creating text-based and performer-devised theatre projects in Ontario, Alberta, Yukon Territory, BC, the U.S. and internationally. He earned an MFA in Directing from the University of Alberta in 2008 and for the last decade has been a freelance performer, director and instructor based in Edmonton. Mike is also Co-Artistic Director of the acclaimed independent company, wishbone theatre, founded in 2009 and teaches in Drama and Speech at Concordia University of Edmonton, but he is absolutely delighted to be among dear friends in his home town, on stage once again with Lost & Found.

TONY REILLY: Vince Carlin appeared as Scrooge three years running in our production of Charles Dickens Writes... Elsewhere he has performed such iconic roles as Willy Loman in Death of a Salesman, Salieri in Amadeus, and Morrie Schwartz in Tuesdays with Morrie.  Recent credits include Kingfisher Days at Staircase Theatre and Frankenstein at Theatre New Brunswick.  In another life, Vince was a journalist for 40 years.

AOIFE MULDOON: Kathleen Sheehy is a founding member of Lost & Found Theatre.  Favourite L&F roles include Elsie in Falling: A Wake; Pearl in Pearl Gidley; Stacy in Some Assembly Required; and Sister Aloysius in Doubt, another Shanley play.  Kathleen has also appeared in a few Drayton Entertainment productions and many plays with Theatre&Company.  She is over the moon to be back onstage with old friend and colleague, Mike Peng!

ROSEMARY MULDOON: Christy Ziss originated the role of Mrs. Dickens in Charles Dickens Writes A Christmas Carol.  Other Lost & Found roles include Patty in Kimberly Akimbo, Christine in How It Works, and Fanny in Cariboo Magi, among others.  Other selected credits include Steel Magnolias, Antigone,  On Golden Pond and My Fair Lady.  Christy is also the co-artistic director of Theatre Baddeck in beautiful Cape Breton.
